A small, central campsite on Byggðavegur in the fishing village of Sandgerði on the Reykjanes Peninsula (a UNESCO Global Geopark). The operator puts it 8 minutes' drive from Keflavík International Airport, about 24–25 minutes from the Blue Lagoon and 35 minutes from the Reykjavík area, which makes it a practical first or last night with a campervan. The service house has toilets, showers, outdoor sinks with hot and cold water, a washer and dryer; there is electricity for RVs, water refill, black and grey water disposal, free Wi-Fi and a playground. Small cabins for two can also be rented on site.[1][2][6][7]
