Practical tips

  • No reservations needed for individuals. Register and pay at the service centre before setting up; if staff have to collect payment at your pitch, an extra service fee applies.[1][5] (checked 2026-10-24)
  • Arriving after the service centre closes is fine: set up and pay the next morning. Check-out from the campsite and RV park is before 12:00.[5] (checked 2026-10-24)
  • Quiet hours are 00:00–07:00, with no unnecessary vehicle traffic in that window. Open fires are not allowed.[1] (checked 2026-10-24)
  • Breakfast is sold in the service centre 08:00–10:00 every day, along with coffee, soft drinks, beer and wine.[2][1] (checked 2026-10-24)
  • About 5 minutes' walk to the swimming pool and a large playground, and about 10 minutes to the town centre with supermarkets, restaurants and the post office.[1] (checked 2026-10-24)
  • Tents and motorhomes/folding campers use two separate areas; the electric pitches are in the RV area.[2] (checked 2026-10-24)
  • Tap water is drinkable: let the cold tap run a moment so it isn't mixed with the sulphur-scented geothermal hot water.[1] (checked 2026-10-24)
