Reykjavík Eco-Campsite sits in Laugardalur park, next to Laugardalslaug – which the campsite describes as Iceland's biggest geothermal pool – and next door to Dalur HI Hostel. It is open all year and is about 2 km from the city centre; city bus #14 stops in front. In winter (15 October – 15 April) only Area A is open, and only to motorhomes and campervans. There is no dump station on site: the campsite sends guests to the city's disposal point at Klettagarðar 14, about a 5-minute drive away.[1][3][2]
