Campsites Near Keflavík Airport (KEF) for Your First or Last Night (2026)

Airport Camping in Sandgerði puts itself 8 minutes from Keflavík International Airport, and Happy Campsite Keflavík says it is 6 minutes away. Both are on the Reykjanes Peninsula, together with Garðskagi and Vogar. Reykjavík Eco-Campsite is the capital-area alternative.[1][2]

In winter, Sandgerði, Garðskagi and Vogar are listed as open all year (for Sandgerði, Parka.is's dates start on 9 January, so ring ahead in deep winter). Happy Campsite Keflavík's season is 1 May – 1 October.[1][3][4][2][5]

Scope: campsites on the Reykjanes Peninsula near Keflavík Airport, plus Reykjavík Eco-Campsite. Grindavík is not included because tjalda.is said on 2026-10-24 that 2026 information from the operator is still awaited.
